Held in Antalya to strengthen the position of traditional sports on the international stage, the 8th Ethnosport Forum brought together representatives of the global sports community, government officials, and cultural heritage ambassadors.
The event began with a presentation by World Ethnosport Union Board Member Mustafa Eröğüt titled “The Global Impact of Multisport Events – The ‘Ethnosports 2027’ Framework” and continued with numerous panels and sessions where the future of traditional sports was discussed.

During the High-Level Ministers’ Panel, a shared commitment was emphasized to elevate traditional sports beyond local boundaries and establish them as one of the most prestigious multisport organizations in the world. Minister of Youth and Sports of Türkiye Osman Aşkın Bak underlined that ethnosport serves as a strategic shield protecting youth from modern challenges such as addiction and social isolation.

Traditional Sports Awards Handed Out
Following the sessions, the 8th Ethnosport Forum ended with the Traditional Sports Awards Ceremony, where individuals and institutions contributing to the development of traditional sports and the preservation of cultural heritage were honored.
