She graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia, Department of Political Science and International Relations. After her undergraduate education, she completed her master's degree at Marmara University Institute of Middle Eastern Studies.
Between 2007-2014, she worked as a researcher in international non-governmental organisations. In 2014, she worked as Projects and Foreign Services Coordinator, Projects and Foreign Services Manager, and TDV Strategy and R&D Manager at the Turkish Religious Foundation. She worked on International Project Management, EFQM Excellence Model and strategic plans of organisations.
In addition to her working life, she was the president of the "Malaysian Islamic University Turkey Alumni Association" from 2012 to 2015. While taking part in many projects for educational activities, especially for women and children, she also took part in various humanitarian aid projects. She took part in the organising committee of many national and international meetings on human rights and refugees.
She worked as Minister Counsellor at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services. Sağlam, who started to work as Minister Counselor at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey, was appointed as the Head of Strategy Development at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey in 2019 with the blessings of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and was appointed as the General Director of Child Services in January 2021.
She is currently the president of the African Handicrafts and Culture House Association, which works under the auspices of Mrs Emine Erdoğan. She speaks English fluently.
