Born on October 23, 1985, in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan, Yerkebulan Ilyassov is a prominent leader in both the industrial and sports sectors. He pursued his studies in Electromechanics at Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, establishing a strong technical foundation for his career.
Ilyassov has had a remarkable trajectory in the electrical engineering industry, beginning as a designer at Kentau Transformer Plant and steadily rising to executive leadership. In January 2024, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alageum Electric, one of Kazakhstan’s leading industrial enterprises.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Ilyassov is deeply involved in the promotion of national sports. He serves as the President of the Federation of the National Sport "Zhamby Atu" and the Republican Federation of "Arkan Tartys." His dedication to sports governance was further recognized when he was appointed President of the Association of National Sports of Kazakhstan in February 2025. Additionally, he contributes to the development of the sports sector as an independent board member of Kazsportinvest and a member of YPO Kazakhstan.
His contributions to engineering and national sports development have been acknowledged with numerous awards, including the CIS Electric Power Council Honorary Certificate and multiple state medals.
