History
XO, also known as tic-tac-toe, is named for its use of "X" and "O" symbols. It is an internationally recognized two-player strategy game, where one player selects "O" and the other picks "X".
Rules
The first player is chosen by a lottery method such as a toss or rock-paper-scissors. Players take turns placing their chosen symbol on the grid. The game is won when a player aligns three of their symbols in a row, column, or diagonal.
