The championship, hosted by the Argentine Pato Federation, one of the 37 members of the World Ethnosport Confederation from 25 countries, emphasised the cultural importance of traditional sports. The event, which took place with the participation of Mehmet Fatih Kalender, Executive Board Member of the World Ethnosport Confederation, witnessed great enthusiasm.
After the championship, Kalender met with Daniel Osvaldo Scioli, Minister of Tourism, Environment and Sports of Argentina, Süleyman Ömür Budak, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Argentina, and Philippe Oudinot, Deputy General Manager of Enard Argentina, and discussed cooperation in the field of sports and culture. During the meetings, joint work on the international promotion of traditional sports, sustainable traditional sports projects and environmental awareness were discussed.
Kalender stated that these meetings were an important step towards strengthening the sportive and cultural cooperation between Turkey and Argentina. He also stated that the vision of the World Ethnosport Confederation on the protection and promotion of traditional sports was also appreciated in Argentina.
