On January 6th, at 2:00 PM, the “Dialogue with Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan: From Tradition to the Future” event was organized by the Arnavutköy Municipality. The event brought together the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC), Mr. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, and young participants. Moderated by Arnavutköy Mayor Mr. Mustafa Candaroğlu, the discussion focused on cultural heritage, its preservation, and how these values can be upheld in the modern world.
Before the session, students explored traditional sports and games through facilities provided by WEC, offering them a hands-on cultural experience. During the dialogue, Mr. Erdoğan emphasized the importance of blending cultural heritage with modern technology and highlighted the role of traditional sports in fostering community and identity.
The event inspired over 750 high school students to embrace cultural values, participate in social responsibility projects, and develop initiatives for passing these values to future generations. It marked a significant step in raising cultural awareness and empowering the youth.
