World Ethnosport Confederation Vice President Taha Ayhan, and board members Mr. Abdulhalim Aksu and Mrs. Rabiya Kazak participated to Marmi Festival which is organized in Doha by a WEC Member, Qatar Al Qannas Society. Festival which is started by 1 January will last until 1 February.
Delegation of WEC expressed their satisfaction about the event thats traditional sports and culture and mentioned the importance of contribution of Al Gannas Society on traditional cultural heritage. Ali bin Khatem Al Mihshadi, the president of the organizing committee of the International Marmi Festival and Chairman of Al Qannas Society, and Mohammed bin Abdullatif Al Misnad, Vice-President of the festival organizing committee and Vice-Chairman of Al Qannas Society briefed about most important championships that takes place in festival and competition rules.
Authorities from Al Qannas Society, member of World Ethnosport Confederation, thanked to the delegation for the WEC’s contribution in the field of traditional sports and games.
