Everyone's Festival
Addressing the visitors at the closing program of the 5th Ethnosports Cultural Festival and one of the biggest in the world, WEC President Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan said, “We believe that our festival, where anyone from 7 to 70 can find something about themselves, their own culture, and every color of the world, has left unforgettable impressions on all of us, and we leave you with these memories. Our visitors who wanted to get to know their traditions, learn about their culture, and get involved with art and sports experienced a full festival this year, ranging from traditional sports and games to traditional arts and universal tastes. I have clearly seen that our children, young people, and families have had a very enjoyable time in every part of our space."
World Cultures Meet
Emphasizing that many colors of the world had taken part in this festival, WEC President Erdoğan said, “We traveled around the world thanks to our over a thousand guests who continue to work in the fields of sports, art, and culture. 40 chefs from 20 countries again brought world cuisine to our festival area. There were traces that touched our lives as much as the flavors left their marks on our palate. We witnessed our disadvantaged groups weaving carpets, riding horses, and shooting bows and arrows here. We laughed together and learned together. We felt the peace of being together through the unifying power of our traditions.”
Our Festivals Will Continue
Stating that the festivals will continue to get better every year, Erdoğan said, “Our festival was everybody’s festival without discrimination. Under the leadership of our World Ethnosports Confederation and its 20 corporate members in 15 countries, we will hold festivals just like this one and even better in the coming years,. Of course, it is not over yet; we will relieve the longing for our next festival with the 4th World Nomad Games. We will meet again at a big event that focuses on our traditional sports with the Nomad Games that we will hold in Iznik between September 29 and October 2.”
At the closing program, awards were presented to the sports, culture, and art communities who were awarded in 11 different branches. At the same time, WEC President Erdoğan presented plaques to the festival sponsors on stage for their support.
