President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC), Mr. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, visited Ashgabat to attend the 33rd anniversary celebrations of Turkmenistan's independence and met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the development of sports cooperation was discussed.
WEC President Mr. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan met with President of Turkmenistan Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of Independence Day and conveyed the greetings of the President of Türkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extended his well wishes for prosperity and happiness to the Turkmen people. Additionally, Mr. Bilal Erdoğan emphasised the importance of cooperation in promoting traditional sports at the international level.
President Berdimuhamedov stated that cooperation in the field of sports will continue to strengthen and expressed his belief that the upcoming negotiations and meetings will provide new impetus to this process. He also emphasised that the construction of modern sports complexes and stadiums in Turkmenistan has created ample opportunities for the development of sports. The meeting concluded with good wishes exchanged by both sides.
