The Ethnosport Culture Festival Has Been Postponed Due to the Global Pandemic

Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) was a guest on the Weekend Program with Hakan Çelik on CNN Türk. Making assessments about many of the issue on the agenda, Erdoğan also made statements about the Ethnosport Culture Festival, one of the trademark organizations of WEC.

He said, "The World Ethnosport Confederation has been organizing the International Ethnosport Culture Festival in Istanbul with the participation of hundreds of thousans of visitors from dozens of countries since 2016. The Ethnosport Culture Festival, having the largest turnout in the world in the scope of traditional sports and games, is stage to many activities alongside traditional sports competitions, from handcraft workshops and artistic performances to traditional tastes and rituals. The festival, which provides many participants from various countries with the opportunity to exhibit their culture, will not be held this year due to the global pandemic affecting the whole world. The World Ethnosport Confederation, which has successfully conducted the Ethnosport Culture Festival for years and takes significant steps each passing day on the point of international organizations, will maintain the claim it has in this field by successfully holding the Ethnosport Culture Festival in 2021, where superb cultures and sports come together.
